 Footlighters is a completely student run group devoted to promoting musical theater at Case Western Reserve University, The Cleveland Institute of Art, and The Cleveland Institute of Music. Since 1998, the Footlighters have produced one show each semester in order to best serve the community. In the past, the Footlighters have performed Little Shop of Horrors, Jesus Christ Superstar, Cabaret, and the Northern Ohio Premiere of The Wild Party. Footlighters gives students an opportunity to be involved in all aspects of theater production including; directing, choreographing, acting, playing in the pit orchestra, constructing sets, making costumes, and publicizing the performances: every aspect of the musical is done by a student. Each semester, nearly 1000 students, faculty, staff and community members come together to watch Footlighters take the stage! |
